The upper floor of the Athenaeum library in Amsterdam Centrum is the perfect spot to gather around a table to have a great evening through the cuisine by Chef Lis Ra and the unique ceramic pieces created for this occasion by Ofenhaus Studio.

Exposing the less playful side of the glory hole and the reasons for its proliferation based on the prohibition of homosexual encounters, we pay a tribute to those people who fought despite being persecuted, or simply a tribute to ourselves.

Through the structure of The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, we will go across the dark interior of the glory hole; in this case Instead of being presented as the original piece of spiritual ascension in the order Inferno - Purgatorio - Paradiso, it is presented in the reverse order, as an earthly journey, highlighting in three acts the years of Glory lived in terms of rights (Paradiso), the years of experimentation and social openness in the clubbing scene (Purgatorio) and how these were followed by decades of discouragement, prejudice and judgment (Inferno) towards a collective fighting for nothing more than their (our) freedom.
